The controversial tweet of the former Ambassador was stated as if the incident was the failed last attempt of Amhara nationals to control the political power of the nation.The deputy PM and chairman of Amhara Democratic Party (ADP) , Demeke Mekonnen, this week's press conference in Amharic to home journalists, was underlined that the former Ambassador should correct himself ''for spreading base-less analysis regarding this very incidence''.
Former US Ambassador Herman Cohen was a key mediator between former Col. Mengistu regime on one side and the former rebel groups of Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) and the Eritrean People's Liberation Front (EPLF) on the other side.
